Combo brows are microbladed brows with light machine shading in areas to create both texture and the illusion of brow hair density. Precise measurements are taken and the brows are designed using charcoal thread. After the mapping is approved by the client, the eyebrow area is numbed with topical anesthetic. Next, small, superficial scratches are made in the skin to mimic the look and texture of eyebrow hairs. The scratches are then filled with the highest quality hypo-allergenic pigment, which is chosen to match the clients’ natural brow hair color. After microblading, the artist goes over desired areas with light shading using a small tattoo pen to blend the natural brow hairs with the microbladed strokes. The result is soft and natural.
This semi-permanent brow procedure is ideal for most skin types, including oily and aging skin.

Nano brows are a type of semi-permanent eyebrow makeup technique that uses a specialized machine equipped with a very fine needle to deposit pigment into the skin. This technique is similar to microblading but utilizes a digital device rather than a handheld tool. Nano brows are known for creating precise, natural-looking hair strokes that mimic the appearance of real eyebrow hairs.
The term "nano" refers to the small size of the needle used in the procedure, which allows for extremely detailed and intricate work. The pigment is implanted into the superficial layers of the skin, resulting in semi-permanent eyebrows that can last anywhere from one to three years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.
This semi-permanent brow procedure is ideal for most skin types, including oily and aging skin.

After numbing is applied, pigment is implanted in between the lashes to create the illusion of darker, fuller lashes. The healed result is a gorgeous, subtle enhancement that will last from 3-5 years.

Not everyone is a candidate for permanent makeup. The following list disqualifies you from receiving permanent makeup. With questions regarding your specific situation, please text or call (540) 724-1710.
You are not a candidate for permanent makeup procedures if you fall into any of these categories:
-Pregnant or breastfeeding
-Currently using or have used Accutane within the last 12 months
-Tanned or sunburned face
-Rosacea
-Currently using blood thinning medication
-Chemotherapy or radiation within the last 12 months
-Under 18 years old
-
-Sun Exposure. Increased exposure to the sun will cause premature fading. I recommend Cannasmack Ink Guard to protect healed brows from the sun.
-Excessive Bleeding. Excessive bleeding during your procedure will greatly affect how your body retains pigment. Pinpoint bleeding throughout the procedure is normal, but excessive bleeding will cause pigment to fade quickly and heal ashy. It is extremely important that you follow before-care instructions to help minimize bleeding. This includes avoiding blood thinning medications, coffee, and alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your procedure.
-Improper Before-Care and After-Care. Failing to follow before and after care instructions will greatly diminish your healed results. Follow ALL instructions exactly for the best results.
-
While pain tolerance varies, most clients report little to no pain throughout their procedure. Two types of anesthetic are used during the procedure to ensure minimal discomfort.
-
Yes! I adhere to the strictest sanitation and safety standards in my studio. I use hypo-allergenic pigments that contain no fragrances or other irritants.

Consultations are done the day of the appointment and generally take 30-45 minutes before beginning the procedure. During the consult, I measure the face, look at skin tone and brow hair color, and determine what is ideal for the client. Before the procedure starts, you will understand and approve of the plan for your brows.
If you have questions/concerns about your specific case (skin issues) or have had your brows tattooed elsewhere, please text me current photos before booking.

While permanent makeup is amazing for enhancing a client’s features, it’s important to have realistic expectations about what it can and cannot do. Cosmetic tattoos are two-dimentional, while brow hairs are clearly 3D. After healing, I recommend that clients use a brow gel to blend the tattooed area with the natural brow hairs.
Because the ink is implanted under the skin, it’s also important to note that the healed results will differ slightly in color from fresh ones. I want you to have natural looking results that will look amazing for years to come!

Preparing for your appointment is VERY important because it will affect how your brows heal. Failure to follow pre-care instructions may result in rescheduling the appointment, so please read the following carefully!
ONE MONTH BEFORE:
RETINOL: Please refrain from using any Retinol products in the brow area for one month leading up to your appointment.
2 WEEKS BEFORE:
BOTOX: Botox or Dysport, must be done at least 14 days prior to your appointment. Receiving it within 14 days of your appointment will result in being asked to reschedule, as it can create problems with brow symmetry.
WAXING/THREADING: Brow grooming isn’t necessary before the appointment. Artists prefer to see clients’ natural brow growth patterns, and shape them up during the procedure, if needed.
24 HOURS BEFORE:
-To minimize bleeding during the procedure, avoid any alcohol, coffee or caffeine for at least 24 hours before your appointment. Blood thinning medications such as Ibuprofen and Advil should also be avoided.
-LATE POLICY: Please be on time to your appointment! Clients will be asked to reschedule if they are more than 15 minutes late.
DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT:
-Avoid exercise. Exercising increases blood flow and will cause excessive bleeding.
-You are welcome to come to your appointment with or without makeup. We will be taking lots of photos, so come however you are most comfortable.
-RELAX! Feeling nervous is normal. We are going to work together to create your dream brows! Take a deep breath and get excited!

Immediately after your brow procedure, you may experience minor redness or swelling around the treated area. This typically goes away within 24 hours. During the first few hours after the appointment, the pigment will oxidize. This will make the brows look darker and warmer (red) than they were immediately after the procedure. This is normal and to be expected. Pigment typically fades anywhere from 20-40% once fully healed.
Around day 3-4, you may notice light scabbing and flaking on the treated area. This is normal! Please refrain from picking at the brows. Doing so will result in loss of pigment in those areas and can cause scarring. Brows may appear spotty or patchy until the entire brow has finished healing. Once all the flaking is complete (usually around day 10), the brows will appear lighter. The pigment will darken over the next 4-6 weeks and the pigment will return to the skin in it healed color.
At 4-6 weeks post appointment, your brows will be fully healed. Whatever pigment does not return will be addressed at your touch up appointment. At this appointment we will asses pigment retention, touch up any areas that didn’t retain well, and adjust the color, if needed, to give you perfect brows! Once the brows have healed from your touch up appointment you will have beautiful, full brows for 12-36 months!
-
After your initial session and 6-12 week touch up are completed, most clients go 1-3 years between touch ups! The longevity of your brows will depend on your skin type, lifestyle, and how well you take care of them (SPF 30+). Excessive sun exposure, some skincare products, and other factors can shorten the life of your cosmetic tattoo and cause it to fade. Be sure to follow the long term aftercare instructions to keep your brows looking amazing for as long as possible!
Before scheduling a color boost, brows should be faded at least 40-50%. If the ink from previous appointments isn’t faded enough, adding more ink can cause the brow to look blotchy or uneven. Let them fade! If you’re unsure if you are ready for a color boost, DM pictures to Bethany and she will let you know if it’s time!
-
I require that anyone who has had their brows done previously by another artist DM or text me a picture before booking an appointment. I typically only go over other artists work if it’s at least 85-90% faded. All new clients are considered initial sessions, meaning you will be charged the price of an initial session, not a touchup.
If I don’t think we can achieve excellent results due to preexisting tattoos, I can offer recommendations on how to help the ink fade more quickly or recommend a removal artist.
